What is Burn Contractures?


Burn contractures are very commonly seen in the rural setup. This infant sustained burn contractures with grotesque deformity. The contractures were released and the child made a remarkable recovery.

Case Study


25-year-old female had sustained injury at the age of 1 year. The wound healed with very severe contracture. All opinions were for amputation!

Treatment: The contracture was released using magnification. The release was followed by post-operative splinting to prevent recurrence.

First Web Contracture
